一道本不卡免费高清In the Spanish program at Ouachita Baptist University, students work closely with a skilled and committed faculty to learn the Spanish language and to explore the cultures of the Hispanic world. Our majors and minors receive a first-class education that enables them to communicate in speech and writing. In a Christian environment, students are trained—through the study of literature, film, and the arts—to think critically about themselves, their cultures, and their place in the world.
一道本不卡免费高清As the Hispanic population in the U.S. has increased, the ability to speak Spanish has become a highly valuable asset in today’s multicultural world. Besides increasing the student’s cognitive awareness, learning a second language strengthens her/his critical thinking abilities. The more we learn about other cultures, the more we know about our own culture, values, and traditions.
In addition to being the focus of a liberal arts education, a major or a minor in Spanish can be the basis for other career paths and graduate studies. Some of our recent graduates are on the mission field in Central America, working in medical interpretation, attending medical school, serving in ministry, and teaching in Arkansas, Texas, Asia and Europe.
